Extraordinary You
(2019 - Viki, 32 35min eps)Light (sun-, spot-, star-, filtered through fingers & leaves) & trumpet flowers (symbolizing waiting) result in beautiful scenes. Cast is *filled* with amazing young actors in their 1st or early lead roles. Great OST.
Messages about not succumbing to others' expectations, creating your destiny, not letting the past define you, & making yourself the star of your life. Perfect for a high school romcom.
The ending is messy: plot holes, repeated plot devices, uneven char. dev., kDrama illogic, strong FLs dissolving. The writers didn’t seem to know how to wrap things up.
The beginning is captivating & I would probably rewatch it again with some fast-forwarding in the later episodes.
