    : : converting expressatt to a generic device

    i'm liking the idea of a generic device encapsulating all devices in an arch. there are now generic pkgs for x86_64 and ppc64le with aarch64 in the pipeline

    decided to open a pr (but more like an rfc) for how to do the same for armv7

    : : mainlining progress

    seems like there was some infra work on linux-next that removed devices.config. this ended up breaking expressatt so had to make a pr switching to pmOS generic kernels

    this generic kernel is enormous. had to modify linuxboot as the kernel and the initramfs was clobbering each other again

    on the other hand, upstreaming has been extremely slow. had to poke the maintainers but hoping i can send an updated series soon
