Hmm, I definitely *do* have that model of Icom (IMHO, disconnecting the battery from the radio will not render said items safe -- the batteries/devices in this attack look to have been compromised and loaded with explosives... so you're still holding a bomb in this example) -- that said, the Icoms that exploded are the Icom IC-V82 -- newer model, widely counterfeited. #explodingicoms #lebanon #explodingpagers

(Update: The radios involves are the Icom IC-V82, which are the newer version of the IC-V8). I think this is an Icom IC-V8 VHF transceiver (or the UHF equivalent). Very common usage as they can be programmed with commercial/first responder/ham radio frequencies. Looks to me like the batteries were the attack vector; I guess they were supply chain compromised Lithium Ion + special Mossad trigger/explosives batteries. #explodingicoms #explodingradio #explodingpagers #war
