The #expensify folks have terrible #ui / #ux instincts. Who adds a text field with just the prompt "write something" as guidance on how to use. Now if it did something intelligence with what you wrote, that might be a different value proposition... but it doesn't. And remember, this is #accounting #software

#expensify - you aren't going to get #ux of the year award with user prompts like "Write something.."... Please can you "better software!"

Oh lordy the fall from "cool tech startup" to "big corporate" accelerates - we no longer get to use #expensify (hands down the easiest expenses tool I've used), and now we're on some f*cking SAP product whose backend was written in 1985, and predates the concepts of "UX design". Example:

I wonder if #Expensify has considered getting into the business of FSA / HSA administration. Can you imagine how much easier it would be to simply email your FSA and HSA receipts to [email protected], [email protected], or whatever, and have it AutoScan them, prompt you for missing information, and reimburse you automatically?
That would be a big enough quality of life improvement for me that it would literally be a factor in whether to accept a job offer.
