I just finished playing #expedition33.
I gotta say that it was one of the beautiful game that I've played with the most crazy story writing.
No spoiler but it has one of those plot twist that I never saw coming.
And each character is so unique and relatable.
Overall, it felt like playing an emotional novel.
Now, I'm not used to turn-based combat, but you definitely have to learn how to parry/dodge.
I can see why it won Game Of the Year in 2025.

Personally, I believe next gen games will reward efficiency and focus.
We're seeing it now, AAA publishers should have taken note by now:

The more I think about #GeoffKeighley hype machine called #TheGameAwards, the more I believe it's both good an bad.
Think about it. Without the #TGA some games would have never had a chance, like #Expedition33, #ItTakesTwo, or #Inscryption if indies were a sidenote.
Hopefully next time he backs up a game, he does independent consulting first. He has the money to pay for that knowledge.

- Do games need difficulty options? Yes. Not everyone is a pro gamer with cat reflexes.
- Do games need more accessibility options? Yes. You basically reach more public with that.
- Do games should play _your way_? No.There is a reason why #Expedition33 does not force you to parry all attacks.

It's day five of my #VidjaGameAwards2025 and I've lost interest so let's get down to it.
*Day 5: Game of the Year!*
Honourable Mentions: #Rematch, #Dispatch, #WuchangFallenFeathers and #HadesII. I love you all, and in another year maybe you'd be hoisting the much vaunted #VidjaGameAwards trophy, but alas it wasn't to be.
And now for our winner. My favourite game of 2025 is:

To the surprise of absolutely no one.
I'm bored now so that's all I've got to say about it. Go play it if you somehow haven't decided if you want to or not yet.

I can imagine 2028/2029 with games #Expedition33 being released.
Games about a bunch of guys going into a quest to save the world and losing people left and right.
Parrying while doing turn-based combat with treacherous animations.
Great art direction, sound design and acting.
And then gamers will sight with «Another expeditionlike game. I'm tired of them!»

Everything is in place for a nice little solo Christmas. Third year in a row! I have decided the customary film (Arrival), and the game for tomorrow is a tie between Expedition 33 and a combo of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and The Beginner's Guide. It's mostly down to if I feel like I should spend that money. After the major purchases last week, I should slow my roll
Doing this holiday alone is one of the best decisions I even made!

Bueno, aquí vamos un año más con la lista de mis gotys que he jugado en el año.
Este año me ha costado bastante escogerlos porque he jugado a bastantes juegos y muchos me han parecido juegazos pero tras meditarlo he decidido poner estos 5 títulos:- Stellar Blade
- Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
- Sea of StarsEl stellar blade me ha gustado muchísimo era como volver a jugar al Nier Automata, me ha recordado muchisimo, además pillé el dlc de Nier y me lo volví a pasar de nuevo con A2 :D
En un principio tenía el Expedition 33 en el 2º puesto pero al haber terminado el Cyberpunk creo que me ha gustado más, no mucho pero lo suficiente para subirle un puesto.
Con respecto al Expedition 33... juegazo en toda regla, me lo pasé cuando salió con el gamepass y lo disfruté muchísimo, la estética, la ost, la jugabilidad... entiendo que se haya llevado el goty.
Del Atelier poco que comentar, me gustan mucho los juegos de la saga Atelier y este traducido al castellano fue todo un acierto, si que comentar que en éste la alquimia pasa un poco al segundo plano, pero con el mundo tan grande por explorar y el combate no se le echa tanto de menos. Además molaba el crearte tus propios Ateliers y decorarlos al gusto.
Y con el Sea of Stars, me sorprendió bastante (para bien). Al ser rpg ya intuía que me iba a gustar pero me gustó más de lo que pensaba. Lo jugué también de gamepass aprovechando antes de que se me acabase y no me arrepiento.

For now, the game that the best game to play online will be #ArcRaiders in 2025.
I don't see gaining too much traction, tho. While I believe the $40 price tag is "approachable" for most folks, is still a deterrent.
You have #DeltaForce for free. For $40 you get a GOTY like #Expedition33. Put $10 more and you can play #SplitFiction.
