My take on #Dutton's #excise cuts. (Granted, my #economics is rusty.)
#Fuel's generally price inelastic, i.e., cutting excise won't do much to affect consumption. And taxpayers would *lose* 25¢/L in government spending on other services to *save* 25¢/L at the pump. (Taxpayers and fuel consumers aren't precisely identical groups, but bear with me.)

To be scrapped - capital gain concession on your own home. CG same rate as regular tax. Pension contribution tax concessions. R&D relief. ISA. Bus passes
