  1. Arizona bill promises faster help for renters facing eviction

A bipartisan bill has been introduced in the Arizona House that would help renters who are facing a sudden financial or medical crisis. House Bill 2682 would speed up emergency rental assistance with decisions in as little as five days. Jason Barry has who qualifies, how much you could get, and what happens next at the Capitol. 2. Update. We have raised 78% of the goal, $6,192 of $8,000, with eviction court tomorrow. I have interviews scheduled this week and remain hopeful, but the market is competitive. I know many people cannot donate financially. Being pointed toward work, an introduction, or a role to apply to would mean just as much.

  3. I am asking for help during a difficult moment. I have been unemployed since late September and despite ongoing interviews, my family is facing eviction. Approximately $8,000 is needed to stop the eviction and cover legal fees. Any assistance or boosts are appreciated.

  4. Many Detroiters facing #eviction can now get free #legal representation, with the #Detroit Office of Eviction Defense. It’s a big step in implementing the city’s “right to counsel” ordinance after months of delays. To get a free attorney now, eligible Detroiters just have to show up to their first hearing at 36th District Court and qualify based on their yearly income.

  5. Many of us make our annual #donations to #charity at the end of the year. Consider moving it up a month or two, or making it monthly!

#Housing stability is close to my heart and I support local charities homestart.org ( #EvictionPrevention with just a few hundred $/tenant) and rosiesplace.org (independently funded #shelter with great day services for women), as well as gbfb.org/
