So as I mentioned in an earlier post, that I was going to put my old #EVGA #NVIDIA #GTX1050 card into my #Moms PC.
Well I it along with a 10 #Gigabit #Ethernet card that I had laying around.
After a week my mom started to have PSU issues.
Moms 1000w PSU was dying.
It was from my old build, I got 3 years out of it & mom got 5 years, so it's old.
I saw a deal on a new #Seasonic Focus GX-1000 ATX3.1 & I got it.
The Red LED makes the White pop a little.
Yes mom rocks #kubuntu #Linux.

For the record, I successfully crossflashed my EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra (LHR) with https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/236991/236991 This VBIOS. Everything except PrecisionX works.

I wish #EVGA had jumped to #AMD.

Picked up a used #NVIDIA 3080 from #EVGA as I wanted to experiment with the open source #NVK driver on my desktop after seeing it improve on my laptop over the past year. I was able to play most games I threw at it with no graphical issues. Probably the biggest issue is the Nouveau kernel driver doesn't seem to support 3840x2160 144Hz or VRR...

Should I flash my #nvidia #evga #rtx 3070 XC3 Ultra with the FTW3 vbios?

Had a #dream that #EVGA made a #USB #PCIe card that had two USB 3.0 ports, a PS/2 port, something else, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.3 port, and a USB x16 port (I think that would let you use the full power of the PCIe x16 bus, and it used white plastic instead of 3.0's blue).

I'm starting to slowly purchase and resilver my regular desktop-class #Seagate 4TB drives with #Ironwolf #NAS class 8TB drives. The sensible thing to do after is to format and sell the old drives off, since they're still 100% perfectly fine and they're just 1+ year old lol. The hoarder thing to do is to keep them for the future ffs.

I have my main PC rig, and my HTPC right now. I also still have all the parts of my former PC rig (#AMD #Ryzen 7 2700X, #B450 board, #EVGA 750W PSU etc.) and my former HTPC (AMD Ryzen 3 2200G, #B350 board, PSU, 16 or 32GB RAM I don't remember, etc.) fully knowing I won't be using them (not until I have more space at least). I really need to sell them off and not do something as unnecessary as using them to build a #streaming PC, and a backup/secondary server. I've too many 24/7 running computers in my home as it is.

Is this the end of EVGA? This is such a shame since they make good power supplies and GPUs, until they got out of that market.

The replacement of my #EVGA B5 850W #PSU is, hopefully, on its way. I had the unpleasure to briefly own two of those, counting the first replacement they sent me. One of them rattled out after a month. The other flat out died after 8 hrs, nearly taking out the OS due to repeated restarts. To their credit, the store offered to reimburse me, but I decided to pay the difference for this #MSI MPG A850GF unit:

Star Citizens runs rather well on the aforementioned new hardware. Ryzen 7700X was under huger utilization but famerates were very high. (EVGA GTX-1080Ti FTW3 11GB for GPU)

Okay, the final boss of my gym showed up tonight. Dude was rocking a #HarleyDavidson ball cap, tank top, matching shorts, orange and black shoes WITH the Harley logo on them, and on both his biceps he has the Harley Davidson logo.
