I hate AI but there is an #EverythingIsARemix argument here. I think scale is the problem, both that humans can't input or output at the rate that the AI does. that we've had to pay to experience the art that influenced our future art. but also that the AI will mostly be centrally created, owned and controlled due to cost. lastly, what the AI creates shouldn't then get copyright either.

what we create comes out of our experience, but we have to do it mostly independently. I try to show my daughter all the great writing, music and movies. in that process, the creators usually get paid again. hopefully she then uses that understanding and gets paid too.
#AI goes through that experience to learn also but it cheats. there isn't an army of separate bots available to respond to us, with each one having paid all the creators for what they now take advantage of.

It’s hard for people to get our brains.
Whatever we hyperfocus on we do really well. It’s why I say everything is a remix.
Gen AI doesn’t impress us because our brains work like that already.
I won’t say ADHD is a superpower.
The best creators have it. A lot of people in the C-Suite too. There’s a stigma so they won’t publicly admit it.
