Recently, I had the opportunity to conduct a field mapping activity in Mumbai, specifically in the rapidly expanding region of Mira Bhayandar.
Working with a small but highly motivated team, we used the 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗗𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽 to map critical infrastructure and retail ecosystems on the ground.

With #OpenStreetMap, anyone can help map their surroundings or crisis-affected areas worldwide to support local responders.
At a recent school workshop led by #HeiGIT, students at the temporärhaus in Ulm (Germany) learned to map buildings using satellite imagery and the HOT Tasking Manager, and how tools like #ohsomeNowStats help analyze and share data.
They also discovered how easy it is to contribute via apps like #StreetComplete and #EveryDoor.A great initiative! ✨

It all depends on the level of details you want to add.
I start off with #ArmChairMapping and once have grabbed most major objects like buildings and landcover. Then I go to the streets to add more details like the values of the buildings and/or addresses.
#StreetComplete permits notes, though prefer to use #OsmAnd instead where I have created a set of quick actions to speed up the process. #EveryDoor in another favorite under #MicroMapping.

Was fun and hopefully educational: the workshop "OpenStreetMap, smart mapping with Apps" we (with Friendly_Ghost) provided at the OSGeo.nl FOSS4GNL https://foss4g.nl last week.
Participants went out on the streets of Middelburg using the apps #StreetComplete and #EveryDoor. Some paths were literally measured (photo). The used materials (CC0:- slides PDF:

Soeben bin ich auf #EveryDoor gestossen und konnte die App antesten. Mittlerweile habe ich einige #MobileMapping Lösungen genutzt und denke das ist eine weitere Ergänzung um schnell mal ein paar Objekte hinzuzufügen.
#Vespucci ist grossartig um mobil beliebige Objekte und Strukturen zu erfassen, aber langsam.
#StreetComplete wiederum perfekt um bestehendes zu ergänzen (vor allem das woran man gerade nicht denkt).
Der Ansatz von #OSMTracker war in ungemaptem Gelände ok. -
Und mit wenigen Klicks kann den #syld noch etwas Gutes tun ;-)
Die App gibt es natürlich auch auf F-Droid.
