It was interesting to come across a blog post from Lena Raine, composer of the Celeste soundtrack, about Ever Crisis, the recently released FFVII mobile gacha game:

It makes me feel a little less crazy to see other people having similarly negative reactions to Ever Crisis, because so many who say they love FFVII, love it for its story and characters, seem to be accepting or defending EC.

Just gave #evercrisis a go, REALLY like the graphical style, I would love to see the whole of #FFVII done this way, would also love to see this style for the supposed #FFIX remake but I imagine it will be all realistic and fancy pants like the 7 Remake.
Anyway moving on from the graphics it's just a gacha/microtransaction nightmare like most other #mobilegames, such a shame as it has such potential if you strip away the gacha stuff and make the combat a bit more like first.

The more I see of Ever Crisis, the more I feel it won't run well on my old ipad. Memory notwithstanding, it looks like it'll eat the battery, and I'm a little concerned about it overheating. I'd love to be wrong, though.
I'm not on the beta, but if it fits on my ipad I'll give it a go when it's released.👍🏻
I just hope that someone will record all the lore and story moments, so that FF7 fans like me with potato devices can still get our fill.🙂
