This points out that for a trans person, access to HRT is as essential and life or death as insulin access is for a diabetic.
When far right types cut off access, it is a genocidal act.

Here is the kicker ...

The gloating, safe person today is the target tomorrow because far right paraoia-driven prejudice masquerading as concern does not recognise sense or accurate boundaries.
It hypes and truth-warps to retain followers so its presumptions, boundaries, and labels are really messed up.

It expands hate to other targets which at some point could easily include diabetics, elderly, the woman with the unusual haircut, the short guy, the person with a limp, the person whose eye involuntarily twitched when glancing at someone else's spouse etc.

The real game the antisocial bigots are playing is that of corrupt cruelty, often fueled by divisive privileged wealth using ignorance and a religious facade to make people underestimate horrors it incrementally causes.

They can handle "most of Canada" if you exclude that portion which lies between the Rocky Mountains and Hudson Bay, plus parts of northern #BC, #Ontario, #Quebec, #Newfoundland, and #Labrador, totalling 7-8 million people.

"They can handle Norway, they can handle #Canada" - no. The situation is *completely* different. The #Canadian #prairies and the north are *much* colder than Norway. Norway's temperature is moderated by the ocean and other factors; the prairies are an inland steppe climate, like Siberia. You can check this yourself; the data is everywhere online.

More importantly, the population density of #Norway is *much* higher than the Canadian prairies, which in turn is much higher than the Canadian north. If I parachute-drop you at random over northern #Saskatchewan or #Manitoba, there's a good chance you'll land tens or hundreds of kilometers from the next nearest human. In such territory there is *no* electrical #infrastructure, much less stuff suited for fast charging stations. And you know what *does* go through these vast #unpopulated areas?

Roads. That people have to drive on, to get to and from the communities and industrial sites and recreation areas that dot the entire province. Driving hundreds of kilometers without a gas station is *common*. In winter - remember, 5-6 months - #EVs just won't do that.

Why is it so hard for the #religious #EV #evangelists to admit that gee, not everyone's situation is like their life?

My brother also clarified that the evangelism we are all called to do isn't about Bible-thumping on a street corner, but about living in a way that clearly demonstrates our joy from loving God and each other and, whenever we see the opportunity, to let those around us know that they can have that joy too if they follow Christ's example.

I am currently reading [Pope Francis' 2013 Exhortation](https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/apost_exhortations/documents/papa-francesco_esortazione-ap_20131124_evangelii-gaudium.html) because I wanted to hear his explanations of the evangelical calling for lay-people. It's actually a fun read! But the nice thing about this simplified rendering of evangelism is that it's something I can do immediately, like literally right after I finish typing this.

Our eldest is very active in their parish and he has started organizing faith renewal tours for any groups that want to do this. As I have a marketing background I told him I'd be happy to help promote this if needed. As we kept talking I was more and more drawn to the thought of renewing my own faith. I think I was ready for the message at this point in my life.

One of the points central to our discussions was that the basic identity of the church is to evangelize. However evangelism (the spreading of the good news) has fallen by the wayside as the clergy seems to have fallen into a trap of tending to the institutions of the faith, while the laity has relied more and more on those institutions to carry out the Lord's work (actually a mutually reinforcing situation).

Bakker came up with a vague claim that unspecified people were threatening to kill him for believing in the Bible. The exact nature of the allegations remain unclear. Bakker now runs a generic conspiracy television show, hawking survivalist junk to paranoid conspiracy theorists.

"Erik Prince was accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy, but dropped out after three semesters. He later told the Virginia-Pilot newspaper that he loved the Navy but disliked the academy. He finished his schooling at the Christian-oriented #HillsdaleCollege in Michigan.

"Other members of Prince's family have been active in Republican politics. His sister, #BetsyDeVos, has served as chair of the Michigan Republican Party, and her husband, Dick DeVos, was an unsuccessful Republican candidate for governor of Michigan in 2006. Dick DeVos, a member of the conservative family that co-founded Amway, succeeded his father as president of that company."
