Watching all the videos by @NorthBayPython and really getting flashbacks of the #eurucamp days and that vibe 🥰. If you need some good vibes and want to learn stuff, the talks are all amazing. I know I am repeating myself, but it is all just *sooo goood*.

Yesterday I went through all photos I had of #Eurucamp in 2015. This was peak ruby scene for my wife and me.

I am so fond of what the small team of dedicated people achieved back then. A diverse conference with a playful attitude. Outdoor activities, 50/50 male/female speaker ratio. Great food.

This was peak ruby scene for me. A decade later I am sobbing for the world we lost, the possible bright future that includes everyone. Not just some rich white dudes.

That's gonna be a fun one: On Wednesday at #HamburgOnRuby, I'm going to power point karaoke my own slides for the 2014 #EuruCamp talk "DECENTRALIZE ALL THE THINGS!!1!".

The idea is to see how well the talk has aged and how relevant it may or may not be today.

Spoiler: I think it's still super relevant. Also, I think it has aged okay, apart from some technical details and a rather naive (from the 2025 perspective) problem description
