With the start of #Eurosur in 2014, the EU adapted the Spanish #SIVE into the #Seahorse network to connect its coast guards across the Mediterranean and, through #MEBOCC, also those of third countries.
Now it is coming back as "Seahorse Advanced (A)" to the Atlantic — weird!

Das Überwachungsnetzwerk soll laut KOM an EU-Außengrenzen zukünftig auch "hybride Bedrohungen" und Drohnen abbilden. Im übergeordneten #CISE außerdem Überwasserdrohnen.

#Frontex führt seit November von den #Kapverden aus Flüge zur Migrationsabwehr durch. Die Mission startete ohne ein Abkommen zur Datenweitergabe, zeigt die Antwort auf eine Frage aus dem EU-Parlament. Trotzdem wird das Land jetzt Teil von #EUROSUR:

Mit #EUROSUR nutzen die EU-Mitgliedstaaten verschiedene Satellitendienste zur Meeresüberwachung. #Frontex und #EMSA schließen daher Kooperationsvereinbarungen mit dem #Copernicus-Programm für 2022 bis 2028 mit einem Budget von 67 Mio. €

#ALFA: "It will bridge the existing capability gap of current operational surveillance systems for border control." "The ALFA project is expected to increase surveillance capabilities contributing to the prevention of cross border crimes" "
ALFA will: "contribute further to the development of EUROSUR"#Eurosur "is a surveillance system of the European Union (EU) that uses drones, reconnaissance aircraft, offshore sensors and satellite remote sensing, to track illegal immigration into the member states of the European Union."
In specific ALFA will work on detecting low flying aircrafts. -
