During the conference in July we've learned this was Lara's first EuroPython. It was lovely to hear an opinion of a new attendee, thanks so much from all of us, Lara! 🥰 EuroPython is a great event thanks to all the volunteers, but also each and every attendee who makes it so lovely.

Everyone has their favorite thing about EuroPython. This one is hard to argue with, though the conference is a yearly gathering of so many creators and open-source maintainers whom we know and admire. It gives everyone a chance to grab someone, perhaps after their talk, and ~ask about an issue status~ show our appreciation for their contribution to the ecosystem 😅
Did you get to meet a maintainer you know at EuroPython? #europython #conference #europython2025 #python #opensource

“Even if it’s at the cost of missing some of the talks, as a volunteer you are where the action is and you have a chance to get more experiences out of the conference.”

Networking, meeting old and making new friends, frequently comes up as one of the best perks of attending a conference like #EuroPython. It's a great chance for open-source maintainers to meet regularly face-to-face (or should we say, keyboard-to-keyboard?) and hack on the project together. We even provide open space for just that purpose during our conference sprints!
Do you have any tips on how we could facilitate open-source collaboration even more during the conference? #europython2025

While in Prague in July, someone gave us all a great idea on how to make good use of mentoring. Thanks for sharing the story, Agata! #europython #conference #europython2025 #python #opensource

During EuroPython 2025 we asked Bartlomiej about the most memorable AI in development experience. Haven't we all had one of those? 🙊
How are you enjoying riding the AI wave? Vibing it? Surfing the code review waves of AI-generated PRs? Or pushing AI code straight to prod? 🤪 #europython #conference #europython2025 #python #opensource

We caught up with Jonathan during #europython2025 and asked about the favorite activity at the conference!

Asked about the favorite part of #europython2025, Cheuk pointed out to the... hallway track! 🤸
It’s not the first person to point out that one of the best parts of this conference are the lovely humans who attend it. EuroPython wouldn’t be the same without all of you!

Did you know that beer used to be even cheaper in the Czech Republic? So cheap, in fact, that it became a problem. The government had to introduce legislation forcing pubs to offer at least one non-alcoholic drink that was cheaper than beer 🍻

We love our attendees' opinions about EuroPython, not only when they are as lovely as the one which we heard from @webknjaz
Any feedback allows us to learn, improve, and create the best conference we possibly can. But we admit—among all feedback, the positive one fills our hearts the most 😇

We asked Naa this question, and the answer was amazing!

“I’ve built lasting friendships, met people I had only known from online talks and tutorials, and had the chance to become a familiar face in the community myself. Every EuroPython, and every local conference, strengthens those connections and leaves you with renewed energy and inspiration to keep contributing.”

Have you attended more than one EuroPython? What makes you come back?

Did you know how many EuroPython conferences @egeakman attended before becoming a board member of the EuroPython Society? We generally think that attending the conference is the best motivation to volunteer and get involved in organizing the next edition, and Ege proves that.
