23rd times lucky I guess. After so many plays I finally win at the hybrid #eurogame / #wargame #boardgame Wings For The Baron. Design and market aircraft in WW1 Germany. The winner has the highest amount of gold and paper money. Inflation will erode the worth of paper money as the game progresses.

The main game for the #socalwargamers gathering at Geeky Teas in Burbank was the classic CDG Napoleonic Wars. The less said about that the better as Nappy landed and conquered Britain in turn 1. 😜

Another recurring idea for a #musicGame is to separate playing music and doing in-game moves. You basically join the music when it's not your turn.

The game may have any turn-based mechanics, but its #tabletop representation should yield itself well to musical interpretation.

This is a design area with hopes for great complexity, some #eurogame-adjacent potential. But arguably, musical #improvisation may cover any #boardgame...

Wenn ich in meiner Spielegruppe #Revive auftischt findet sich eigentlich immer jemand der mitspielt. Ich bin jedenfalls ziemlich hooked. Geiles Spiel - wenn es auch etwas gedauert hat, die 5-teilige Tutorial-Kampagne war in meinen Augen überflüssig. Wir haben über ein Jahr gebraucht um sie zu beenden. Erst mit dem vollem Regelsatz entfaltet sich der Reiz des Spiels so richtig, finde ich

Habe mir die Erweiterung geholt und ein paar mal online gespielt, aber ich glaube fast, dass sie das Spiel nicht besser macht. Nur etwas andere... Mal sehen

He conseguido vencer a Alfred al segundo intento tras tres horas de partida en solitario.
He manejado mejor las acciones para bloquear las de Alfred y también he tenido mucha suerte con las losetas de acción, especialmente las de correspondencia.
También he intentado activar más objetivos y tener más en cuenta las cartas de tripulación seleccionadas a la hora de escoger los sellos de la Academia.
A ver que tal funciona este sábado ante humanos.

Heute zum ersten Mal #Revive zu dritt und mit den asymmetrischen Fähigkeiten aus dem dritten Szenario. Deutlich interessanter als zu zweit. Der dritte Spieler war neu, hat mit der Standardseite seines Stamms gespielt und uns beiden anderen mit zwei Partien Vorsprung und mit der fortgeschrittenen Seite des Stammes komplett nass gemacht. 😭

Als Absacker gab's #SeaSaltAndPaper, das ich so mittel fand (mal abgesehen vom sehr schicken Artwork) und #NextStationLondon, das bei mir eher geklickt hat. Wenn auch das Ergebnis eher so meh war

I kind of want to create a little game about sorting the wooden and cardboard pieces of a big #Eurogame into the sections of a plastic sewing components/tackle box. You'd have to use the little dividers to create the right size of compartments to fit all of one type of piece while making the best use of the total space, coming up with the most useful organizational scheme, figuring out which components just won't fit, and there'd have to be a physics engine to simulate the parts spilling loose and mixing together, then having to collect them all again. There'd be a score attached to your efforts not unlike that of Agricola or Caylus.

I'd call it, "rodneylives vs the Plano Molding Company of Plano, IL."

Bis zum Schluss unklar, wer gewinnt. Meine Punkte waren natürlich ausbaufähig, da unklar auf was es ankommt. Aber sehr cooles Spiel, kann die Begeisterung verstehen.

Das Ende war holprig - „richtiges“ Spielende (Marker rutscht „unten“ heraus) war nicht erreichbar (Plättchen vorher aufgebraucht). Müssen was übersehen haben.

My first play of Federation board game. Thanks to Bob for teaching. The explanation took some time. There is a LOT going on. I had no idea what I was doing throughout the whole game. I managed to climb to second and quickly fell firmly to last place by games end.
Phew. A very crunchy #eurogame

Good news about our venue. It's not closing. I can continue to enjoy their ESB aka a Best Bitter. It did not sell well when it had "bitter" in the title.

I just finished an absolute banger of a game of A Feast For Odin, I think this has to be like 30-40 points above my usual score! 116 Points.

Playing in-person with some friends this weekend, so I've been brushing up.
