Apparently, as of the 9th September, the #EURail brand will disappear, merging in as part of #Interrail.

Given that the tickets were roughly the same price anyway, this makes sense, especially given that by far the most visible brand on social media is Interrail.
There doesn’t seem to be any news on whether EURail B.V. will be changing their name, though.

Deutsche Bahn insists that seat reservations can no longer be bought for my journey. I went to ÖBB (Austrian Railways) where a seat only booking was available and easy.

- gave up yesterday because bank cantdo transfers at night apparently (to refill card)
- PayPal still hasn't refunded me
- I straight up can't log in, it just says "we're having trouble confirming it's you" with no further actions available to me
- the support line opens in an hour, but that's only an hour before the discount period ends
- I tried paying with card again and this time it worked!#eurail needs to get their shit together and #paypal just needs to fucking die!

Personally identifiable information (name, gender, birth date, passport number, residence...) got stolen and went up for sale on the dark web.
In a recent email, EU Rail is recommending that clients take extra precaution by updating passwords and don't talk to strangers on the interwebs.
Why is EU Rail 1) storing 2) unencrypted #pii? Why can't users remove pii from their account after intended use?

Eurail zufolge werden gestohlene Reisedaten nun im Darknet zum Verkauf angeboten. Das Unternehmen gab an, dass ein Angreifer auch eine Stichprobe der Daten auf Telegram veröffentlicht habe.
