On Oct. 14, #EU foreign ministers discussed extending the European Union Military Assistance Mission (#EUMAM), which trains Ukrainian military forces.
Josep #Borrell, the #EU’s top diplomat, emphasized the immense pressure on #Ukraine's military, stating that "we must provide them with more capabilities and strengthen our training mission."
He confirmed plans to extend the EUMAM mandate for another two years, pending approval from the EU Council.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter #Szijjártó has stated that the #EU allegedly plans to send military advisers to assist #Ukraine in its war against #Russia, but #Budapest has rejected this proposal.
He states that the EU's new proposal to extend the mandate of the #EUMAM mission (EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine), which trains Ukrainian soldiers, includes sending "EU military advisers to Ukraine to carry out coordination tasks".

Ukraine is now one of the most heavily mined regions in the world with thousands of mines having been laid since Russia's war of aggression started.
As part of the European training mission #EUMAM, Ukrainian soldiers are being trained in Germany to create safe routes through minefields. -
