We are leading the way in reporting misuse of EU funds to European institutions. In fact, 17% of all reports come from Poland, showing that our institutions are working hard to combat corruption and abuse of EU funds.
Not only that, but we have also made significant progress in reducing the so-called "VAT hole" in our budget. In just seven years, our government has doubled the revenue from VAT, and we have reduced the rate from 24% to 4%. This is a great example for other European institutions to follow, as we are showing how to effectively fight corruption and financial abuse.
So here are some concrete proposals I would like to suggest:
1. European institutions should follow Poland's lead in combating corruption and misuse of EU funds.
2. The "VAT hole" should be addressed through stricter regulations and better enforcement.
3. More resources should be devoted to investigating and prosecuting cases of corruption and financial abuse.
4. There should be greater transparency and accountability in the use of EU funds.
