Random musings. Given all the regulation, censorship and invasion of privacy that we are seeing governments implement on the Internet currently, I think Mastodon (re-)kickstarting popularity of 90s style decentralisation of services is going to be more important than ever for privacy, freedom and innovation for individuals and companies who can't afford to lobby governments.

Nepaisant skambaus pavadinimo, šis aktas įteisintų masinį ir visuotinį sekimą, pamintų pamatines Žmogaus Teises ir, technologine prasme, sugriautų bet kokius saugos pamatus skaitmeninėje erdvėje.
Iniciatyvūs technologijų specialistai etiškoje soc. erdvėje parengė daugiau informacijos šia tema.
Asmeniškai aš pats noriu akcentuoti, kad daugiasluoksnis, maksimaliai šiuolaikinius skaičiavimo pajėgumus išnaudojantis, nepriklausomų ekspertų audituojamas, bekompromisis šifravimas yra elektroninio saugumo pamatas. Bet kokios „galinės durys“ ir kitoks šifravimo kompromitavimas, nesvarbu kokiais kilniais tikslais prisidengiant, kelia grėsmę asmenų saugumui, finansų, gamybos, medicinos, kritinės infrastruktūros ir kitiems sektoriams, kuriuose technologijų taikymas yra egzistencijos klausimas.
