The EU Member States voted in favour of restricting intentional uses of #microplastics. We prepared the proposal at @EU_Commission's request in 2019 and our committees supported it. If the @EUparliament or @EUCouncil don't oppose to the restriction, it will be adopted. #EU_REACH

Today we adopted some 100 🆕 updated test methods for the regulatory safety testing of chemicals under #EU_REACH

Most of them don't involve animals, helping to achieve the 🇪🇺 objective of ultimately phasing out the use of animals for regulatory testing
