I just made more money in a single visit to the first floor with a newly assembled team of five survivalists with Chopping cranked up to lvl 3 than with my regular exploration party spending an hour in the third floor killing monsters for loot.
This changes everything 🤣

Ah, I think I now understand what I am doing wrong in #EtrianOdyssey.
I'm thinking too strongly in the usual RPG game structure, not exploiting the mechanics the game offers. I have my 5-people party, and that's it... But the game allows you to have a whole guild, and restructure the entire team at any time! There's no reason why I could not just have a second or a third team ready to go and, for example, farm some items for selling at the shop, or swap out characters in order to make some more progress per day.
Why has it taken me so long to realize this!?? 🤦

I've gone back to #EtrianOdyssey and, after thinking a bit, I've removed the Dark Hunter from the team and instead brought in a second Landsknecht. I hope that with the increase in damage output of my team I'll now be able to deal with enemies more effectively.
Then, while playing, I've been cornered by a FOE on the 2nd floor and it has obliterated us in just a couple of turns 😅

Lately I'm playing #EtrianOdyssey for the first time (I never had a DS). I'm most of the way through it.
It's alright. It's decently fun, but has a lot of flaws, and doesn't take its dungeon design much further than plain empty corridors. I have the Origins trilogy, so we'll see how the next two compare.
