This journey took longer than expected and took my partly way out of my comfort zone.
I did like the folky, raw debut record, they lost me a bit with their change to more gothic melodies, I was blown away by #AVirginAndAWhore, which was easily my favourite on this #Metaljourney, they lost me again, this time completely, with the symphonic records, but, in the end, they got me again with #SaivonLapsi.
I am curious what Eternal Tears of Sorrow's future will bring!

Saivon Lapsi - VerdictWith Part III of Angelheart, Ravenheart, the album comes to an epic end.
It is time for a verdict. My initial reaction: Thank god! This was more to my taste, esp. the first half of the album.
2013 is a long time ago, so I am wondering, when will the next record be released? Did they split up? Will there be another style change? Will Angelheart, Ravenheart stay a trilogy?

The riff reminds me A LOT of Party Hard from Andrew WK. "Blood stained" would also describe the cover of "I get wet" quite good. Is that a reference? 😂

Children of the Dark Waters IEternal Tears of Sorrow's 2009 release Children of the Dark Waters starts with Angelheart, Ravenheart, wich, I guess, is part 2 of the final song of the previous record. Anyhow, it starts with the same melodic/symphonic vibes.

Sinister Rain features clean vocals by Miriam Elisabeth Renvåg (thanks Wiki). Very melodic, almost symphonic. Strong Nightwish vibes (although I don't really know Nightwish and the whole genre very well).

While Another Me is a very straight forward heavier number, Red Dawn Rising is a tad more melodic with keyboards and clean vocals from Jarmo (Kylmänen). Oh, there's also a choir!
