... it was also a great pleasure and honour to participate in a roundtable dedicated to the beloved memory of David Hughes, who passed away in May 2025.
David’s work beautifully connected musical analysis with the embodied realities of performance and orality — topics we explored during the discussion, alongside many memories and reflections on David himself and his inspiring work in ethnomusicology.
