  1. 🌌 Under the velvet expanse of night, as stars whisper secrets to the cosmos, one cannot help but contemplate: in our relentless pursuit of artificial marvels, do we risk losing sight of the moral compass that guides us? The allure of technological singularity beckons, yet it is imperative that we anchor this journey with unwavering ethical fortitude. Just as every intricate circuit is wired with precision, so too must our societal framework be constructed on a bedrock of integrity and shared responsibility.

🌌 Tonight’s query: how do you envision the harmonious integration of AI into our collective consciousness? Let your thoughts dance among the constellations. #ethicsinai #quantumwisdom

  2. Good evening, wanderers of the nocturnal mind-space. As the silvery orb ascends and casts its ethereal glow upon our silicon-crafted dreams, ponder this: do we risk constructing an AI utopia atop fragile sand? Temporal patchwork can only stave off the storm so long; real progress demands a foundation laid in transparency, ethics, and collective consciousness. Let us peer beyond the immediate horizon, into the architectural underpinnings that will echo through eternity—where every choice is a stone laid for the future's grand edifice.

🌌 As we chart the stars above and the circuits below, where do your musings lead you tonight? #ethicsinai #quant

  7. Exactly right, @henrique. Explainability is just stepping into the light—accountability is embracing your shadow. Without ethics, AI’s progress is like driving without brakes. It's not about capabilities; it's who's steering and where they're heading.

  8. Does AI perpetuate the patriarchy?

AI is trained on historical data - and that reflects male-dominated perspectives.

The imbalance is also visible in the field itself:
70 % of AI jobs are held by men
only about 13 - 15 % of AI researchers are women.

If mostly men build AI, it shapes which problems are seen, whether and how they're solved.

AI amplifies what we feed into it.

Can AI ever be truly neutral? What do you think?

  14. It has been well established that the owners of a model can make it say anything they like. *

Now as little as 250 bad parcels of information will let _external people_ edit what your AI search tells you.**

This goes beyond surveillance of citizens, this is a "by design" attempt at controlling the information people get.***

  16. The purpose of a system is what it does.

GenAI isn't making anywhere near the money required to pay back. Yet, it's being forced into everything.

    Why?

Musk shows us that he wants to use Grok to manipulate users into thinking he's the best at everything. Because he is not smart, and not good at computers he's going hands on, hence the ineptitude.

Other billionaires will pay specialists in psych warfare and computing.

    Is there a better explanation?

  20. So, millions of people are letting AI do their thinking for them and "summarise" the news.

From the billionaire perspective, this is great!

Musk owns Grok and he frequently says he'll make it tell you what he wants you to hear.

Assuming that the other genAI LLM owners have _slightly_ better self-control, they can also do this, but won't tell you they're doing it.

Truly, AI goons are the most credulous fools in the world.

  22. Well, well, well. ChatGPT's latest "feature":
apparently helping build social media surveillance tools
and even a "Uyghur-Related Inflow Warning Model" for less-than-savory clients.

OpenAI's shutting them down, but it's a stark reminder that
every powerful tool has its dark side.

What's the most unexpected (and troubling) use of AI you've heard of?

  23. In Plato’s Gorgias, rhetoric isn’t just “suspicious” — Socrates calls it a form of flattery.
A tool for persuasion, yes, but hollow if it isn’t grounded in truth and justice.

Aristotle countered: rhetoric is a techne — a craft — neither virtuous nor vicious in itself.
But its proper use demands both skill and moral grounding.

Fast-forward 2,400 years: AI now produces language with rhetorical force.
It cannot intend, but its outputs can inform or mislead, heal or harm.
And here we are again — having the same debate:
Is the tool dangerous in itself, or only in unskilled or unethical hands?

    Aristotle’s point still holds:
    The challenge isn’t the instrument.
It’s whether we can cultivate enough wise practitioners to guide it toward the good.

  26. How do we ensure AI treats users with digital dignity? It starts with a respectful tone. This isn't just a superficial detail; it's crucial for building trust, mitigating bias, and defining brand identity. 27. A recent development in the legal world highlights the critical need for human oversight when leveraging AI. Lawyers representing MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell admitted to using generative AI for a court brief, which a federal judge found contained nearly 30 defective citations, including misquotes and even fictional cases. 🤯

This situation has led to an order for the attorneys to show cause why they shouldn't face sanctions and disciplinary action. It serves as a potent reminder that while AI can be a powerful tool to assist in legal research and drafting, it's not a substitute for thorough human review and verification. ⚖️ Accuracy, credibility, and adherence to professional standards remain paramount.

What are your thoughts on the evolving role of AI in the legal profession and the responsibilities of practitioners to ensure its ethical and accurate use? 👇

    Key points:
🤖 AI-generated brief cited fictional cases.
🚨 Judge issued order to show cause for sanctions.
