#German-speaking #typography-experts! Is this a Greek letter #beta (β) being used in place of the German #eszett (ß)? I know an eszett can have a descender in italics, but I've never seen one with a closed bowl. Is this just a quirk of the font? Are there other fonts that have a closed bowl for ß? Or did they insert the wrong character?
