Six hours into the flight, the BIG 60 Aerostar balloon carrying the BOOMS payload reached an impressive altitude of 152.000 ft (46.3 kilometers). As the Swedish Space Corp. press release correctly points out, this is the largest balloon ever launched from Europe.
Earlier on, the ascending balloon was visible from as far as Vannøya Island in Norway (using a telescope).
