This is the sort of scenario that #ColdWar spy thrillers used to explore back in the day. What #WeirdDonOLD did when he spoke with #Putin is actively compromise #US #NationalSecurity. This applies even if they just exchanged pleasantries and talked about each other’s hobbies, without #Trump violating the #LoganAct.

If any one else did what Trump did here, there would be talk of charges under the #EspionageAct.
