Разрабатываем робота с нуля - от ИИ-дизайна до полного проектирования и реализации всех компонентов устройства. Зачем? Ради фана, конечно - этот проект практически квинтессенция моих увлечений - электроника, 3d-печать, программирование микроконтроллеров, ИИ и в целом все, что можно включить в сферу DIY. Но если уж придумывать практическое обоснование - то было бы удобно иметь возможность из отпуска покататься по квартире и проверить, выключен ли утюг, не заливают ли квартиру соседи. #ESP32 #touch sensors aren't just for touching. Turns out they make a passable load sensor too! I doubt they'll work to weigh things specifically, but you would be amazed by what you can do when you know, definitively, that there is weight somewhere. And your #esp32 has about a dozen pins that can do it. (Even in #esphome, kinda.. https://techhub.social/@dis/110057503427579633 )
I'm starting with the classic bed presence load sensor, divided into my side and theirs, but including extra pads for the spots the pets sleep. (With any luck, it can share a chip with the local #BigEar #BLE node, but it might be too much for one chip.) Next up is the liquid level sensor for the #hydro tower, and maybe see if I can use a load sensor one on the #esp32cam by the pet dishes to detect empty bowls instead of just staring at them.

Today is another #esp32 #microcontroller adventure. I just don't like the existing apps, and #esphome still can't stream (it only provides the <=1fps idle snapshot rate.)
I should also clean up and submit my added camera prefs to the #RTSP repo soon.
Is this what it feels like to be excited about a project? Been a while.
Any #recommendations from the collective for #camera management that isn't #zoneminder?
Bonus attachment: a #cardinal at a #birdfeeder, as seen from an #esp32cam painters-taped to a window. Lots of camera and focus adjustments to do still.
TW: it's about 5 degrees off from level. I have no intention of fixing it. Eventually I need to design a more permanent, adjustable suction cup mount. -

Kann man sicherlich besser bauen, wenn man Bock drauf hat, sollte aber schnell gehen. Freie Pins sind am #ESP32Cam-Modul noch einige vorhanden. Dort könnte man eine IR-Diode für die Geschwindigkeitsmessung und einen Neigungssensor anschließen.

I guess today's project is rigging up a better #5v supply and adding some #homeassistant stale data #notifications. (This specific unit is not part of the #camera adventure because it has a busted latch on the ribbon connector.)
