Quite impressive to see a new diagnostic intervention (whole genome sequencing for rifampicin-resistant TB) to be superior to SOC. Giving better drugs quicker works! Though note this was vs old standard of care for MDR-TB. (ie SOC now likely would do better anyway) #ESCMIDGlobal2026 #TBSky (1/3)

Nice vision by Nicholas Paton for TB treatment in the future. 8 week oral treatment followed by long-acting injectable that could be antimicrobial +/- host-directed. Definitely a post to come back to in 5-10 years' time! #ESCMIDGlobal2026 #IDSky #TBSky
