the o.g extraction shooter #EscapeFromTarkov is finally getting it's 1.0 release next week after *checks notes* 9 years in early access
it's an amazing game, up there with games like Dark/Demon's Souls imo, games that singlehandedly defined an entire genre
shame it's PC only, I loved it but I was so bad at it I could never make any progress. it's brutally difficult, and I wish it had a single player mode
the maps are some of the best I've ever ran around in, the atmosphere and tension. it's the reason I'm so into ARC Raiders at the moment, which is a more accessible version of Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov's 'best ending' is apparently reserved for only 2% of players. Talk about hardcore! Reminds me of trying to get a perfect Lighthouse score on a legacy app.

Escape from Tarkov is finally getting a 1.0 release and 4 endings, but the dev says only 2% will see the 'best' one. My guess is the other 98% will just get stuck in a wall glitch or rage quit after losing their 500th gear set.
