Onja and Mijoro are once again visiting the upper city of Antananarivo — in this case, the Rova (royal palace compound) of Antananarivo.

Fact number one: camping actually didn’t become an affordable activity in Madagascar until the early 2020s, but by 2023 or so, it has become mainstream enough that there are multiple stores selling camping supplies in Antananarivo.
Fact number two: it took me a little bit to come up with a title that sounds like a typical Malagasy proverb, but isn’t actually one. Imagine if it had been one, though.
Pun number one: yeah, yeah, this scene is fucking in tents.

His costume here is based on the “traditional” (actually 19th century) garb of Hira Gasy performers, except a little freer down there. Yeah, Mijoro would totally do that for a select audience.

Travelers who go through a particular section of the eastern rainforest share tales of a lone wanderer who works tirelessly to keep the forest trails usable. Depending on the traveler though, he can be either a prankster, a creepy forest spirit, or a friendly if brief presence. Some even claim that he can, the time of a short encounter, be a rather skilled lover.
Though few people know that his actual name is Tsimahitsy (Not-Straight), those he has met have taken to referring to him as Irerianala (Alone-in-Forest).
The inspiration for this character comes from that time in late July 2025 when I got to spend a weekend taking long walks through Analamazaotra Special Reserve.
He is meant to live in the same universe as my other wandering characters, Tsimilefy and Fehizoro.
