and no, I don’t want to build my own kick drum patch with a vco and vca. I have a small case and I don’t want to use too many cables and things to go through that (tried it and am happy with mutant for now except for this sub thing). and it is part of my day job to read and teach about that stuff. just wanted some compact analog-ish kick module. has anyone used that more creatively than I do in erica mutant bd9?

I crammed in everything that might be interesting at some point.

@serge I have found a lot of inspiration in some DIY synth electronics kits. These from #EricaSynths have fantastic instructions and youtube videos that show the process and the expected result. Dunno if this might be too advanced but at least to me, making music with a thing I made has been super rewarding. While my lovely girlfriend is off saving the world on early shift duty, I grabbed my freshly loaded 3D-printed Eurorack rigs and headed out into the sun to test the collocation in the cases. Nature all around, barefoot on grass, AvocaJoe by my side… and a patch cable tangle that would make any Klingon proud. 🌿🦶💚

Just me, some drones, a ridiculous number of LFOs (because obviously), and that sweet spring air.
Perfect way to chill, modulate, and pretend I’m scanning alien frequencies from a garden outpost. 😌✨

P.S.: The setup works like a charm…

Finally got it done <3. A one piece print, 800g Filament in 21h :neocat_magnify:

Small studio rack, 44hp per row. Handle was bought and is attached with 2 screws.
The idea was to make a small portable drone with the CPM DS-2 as the main act.
As random signalling is missing in the DS2, i added the Chaos and as you can not have enough VCOs in a drone i also added the dual VCO. Don’t know if it will stay like this, will need some testing. It's an ongoing thing right now.
To be as portable as possible i got a USB C cable with a barrel jack, outputting 12V (PD). With that i can run the PSU with a powerbank :o) ..

Finally finished my mobile setup. Got some new modules, added another 48 hp to fit them in. This is indeed my first fiddling around, recorded with my phone. Sound comes from a small but mighty Anker Soundcore Sports XL(many years old, still rocking).

Modules in this setup
Behringer: Chaos, Abacus, Four LFO, Brains, 112(dual VCO), 121(dual VCF) and CP3A-M(mixer and passive multiples)
Vermona: uniCYCLE
Erica Synths: pico DRUMS
ZOOM: MS-70 CDR for the effects (only Shimmer reverb used here)

I set this up for ambient and drones. Need to learn a lot, but I already love my 1st try :blobcatuwu:

Also, please keep your Behringer hate for yourself. Not everyone can or will afford the originals, but still want´s to have fun ;o).
