Context: Deze foto is een screenshot van een filmpje nadat een persoon provocerend met een vlag van de staat Israël de pro-Palestina-actie bij de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam kwam verstoren. Deze jonge studente liep mee met de groep mensen die de provocerende persoon probeerde weg te sturen. Precies dus waarom studenten hun gezicht bedekken, ivm gefrustreerde boomers die nog nooit in een goede film hebben geacteerd.

It has been two weeks since the student intifada shut down the entire campus. With only a threat of protest the executive board, politicians, and the police were terrified. They turned Woudestein campus into a surveilled arena, with an army of riot police on standby.
We refused to protest protest on their terms!
We promised to come back. Today we are here, stronger than ever.
Until all ties are cut, and Palestine is free, no business as usual!
Rafah is being bombed by the settler colonial entity as we speak. Children are being slaughtered in front of our very eyes while Erasmus continues to do nothing and collaborates with Zionist institutions.
There is no space for dialogue anymore, we want action.
The student intifada will prevail until all our demands are implemented, and Palestine is free.'
