A lot of people in our neighborhood have either set up
#PollinatorGardens, converted their yards from grass to natives or have scattered pollinator-attractants in their yards. Later in the season, when all of them are in full flower, our vegetable #gardens and ornamentals are usually swarming with all manner of native and domesticated pollinators.

We also have a few people keeping
#honeybee hives in their yards, so, lots of honeybees visit our yard, too.

Overall, it's a really good, busy mix. Only down-side is that
#wasps are part of that mix and my wife is deathly allergic to them. In addition to keeping her #EpiPens up-to-date, we had my mom knit us a couple fake hornet's nests for the front and back porches. They seem to do a decent job of encouraging the paper-wasps to nest elsewhere. The carpenter bees don't seem to pay them any mind, though.

  2. The REAL Reason EpiPens & Inhalers Are So Expensive

One in four Americans can't afford to fill their prescription or pay for their medicine. It's because Big Pharma companies like Mylar are exploiting legal loopholes to block competition and keep prices high. We dug into what's going on and Senator Warren and the FTC's plan to fix the system.

  3. I learned the hard way that U.S. airlines are not currently required to have EpiPens

"Anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction, is a life-threatening medical emergency and has to be treated with epinephrine as soon as possible. The glass vial of epinephrine planes carry is hard to use, and administering it safely involves multiple time-consuming steps that require medical knowledge."
