Correction: In an earlier version of today's European Parliament projection, we incorrectly grouped the 4 seats won by the Italian party Futuro Nazionale—projected to enter the European Parliament for the first time—with the Non-Inscrits instead of the far-right ESN group. This has now been corrected. We regret the mistake.
The far-right AfD-led ESN grouping therefore reaches a record high in both projected seats and vote share. #EP2029

Far-right ESN and Greens/EFA are in a dead heat. However, while Greens/EFA's 38 seats are spread across 16 national parties, ESN's 40 projected seats are far more concentrated, with 27 coming from Germany's AfD alone. As a result, ESN would currently fall short of the seven member states required to form a political group in the European Parliament. #EP2029
