  1. Token help?

I am going to be running a Star Wars game on Foundry in a few weeks, and I need 6 tokens for six different BBEGS that I am going to plop in front of my players all at once. Two of these are going to be very visually distinctive and impossible to create with any character profile generation tools I've found online.

How do you guys handle character tokens for unique-looking characters? I do not want to resort to ChatGPT if I have other options.

  2. I have some lore questions that Google isn’t helping with:

I'm doing some baseline worldbuilding for an #EotE campaign. Could y'all enlighten me?

    ● So, the equivalent of cash is a credit ingot, and the equivalent of debit cards is a credstick. What's the equivalent of a flat check?

    ● What's the best spot in the modernish #SW galaxy to do Lord of the Rings in space?

    ● If Obi-Wan (or any Soresu master) fell to the dark side, how would you describe their fighting style?

  3. This week's episode of #ttrpg #ActualPlay #Wesnoth: Echoes of Invasion:

Tric catches up some with Kachen and gets to know the new server at the Parting Glass.

Note: This episode uses an adaptation of our Fight Night rules that we originally developed for #SWRPG #EotE. If you're interested, find them here:

  4. @starhawk Good luck with your #EotE game! That starter adventure grew into an 18-month campaign for me that I had a blast running. There are so many modules for #StatWarsRPG that you can string together and tweak to fit your own crew. It really helped me hone my GMing.

  5. This week in Star Wars, a bounty hunter threatened to blow up our ship unless we let him escape in our escape pod. Our force-sensitive PC mind-tricked him, making him forget how long he’d set his bomb's timer for, so when the escape pod was away, he blew himself up.

We never got the bounty hunter’s name. But it presumably follows absurd Star Wars naming conventions and I have a five-year-old’s maturity, so I have been calling him Peepee Poopoo. #starwars #ttrpg #eote

  6. @nickdrawthing How the first session starts depends on campaign details established earlier. With #swrpg #eote I started with an opening scroll that led to action underway since the players all knew they were in debt to a Hutt. For our current Alpha Centauri #genesys game, we started with each of the players answering, "You're on the colony ship. What did getting aboard look like for you?" The players already knew that was the setup, and this gave them a chance to get into character.

  7. I’m in a Star Wars: Edge of the Empire campaign, and I’m just not sold on these Genesys dice. So far, only once have they forced upon us a cool, fun result that we wouldn’t have gotten from a more traditional dice resolution system.

Mostly, they deliver results that are hard to parse and put a lot of pressure on the GM. “You succeed or fail, but some extra bad or good stuff happens. What are those extra things? Figure it out yourself!”

  8. @MoltenSulfur Hmm.... This sounds like one of the modules my group played. We went the negotiation route ourselves, and ended up getting those former clone troopers into some nice retirement digs.
