Yes, the 9% stated by the article (from the international study) is very low. But that is good news, right? Even without any drug, the chance of catching an infection from another infected person in your same living space is very low.

From the study you shared, I see many of the vaccinated got sick from what they were supposedly vaccinated for!

According to their trial, without the drug, only 9% of people living in the same house with a symptomatic person also get sick. So your odds of getting sick are already very low. With the drug, 3% get sick, so your odds are not zero.

"9% of people who received a placebo within 72 hours of a housemate developing symptoms became symptomatic themselves, compared with only about 3% of those who got a five-day course of #ensitrelvir."
