I don’t understand the reluctance to play Gomez at left back when it’s the position he’s played most of this season instead of playing someone who hasn’t regularly played there.

These players were massively hyped before the tournament, but as I don’t watch their club games all I’m seeing is a bunch of players who can’t beat defenders.

Their passing is poor and none of them can out run a defender. Their free kicks and corners are no better, they’re just not good at the whole ball kicking thing.

Do they have skills at their clubs that they’ve forgotten?
