This study reveals a paradox: while FAAH inactivation enhances microglial activity, it also escalates inflammation in 5xFAD AD mice. Also >80% of their initial hits were in cigarette smokers. Okay, sure, they did a lot of work and combined lots of datasets but, my dude, do you really think that smoking pot once in your life causes associated genes to change expression?
