@ZackPolanski 😭 I'm all for privacy, but a state keeping a record of those citizens fighting in armies of other states seems like a reasonable matter of national security, regardless of the opinion on the behavior of the foreign army.

I would expect there's also a registry of uk citizens fighting in Ukraine, right?

The unhinged reactions when people even hint at holding Israel to the absolutely most basic of a standard are just ludicrous. And the demand for a registry is not even that (I haven't read the letter, I assume there's a moral judgement in it, as is your right and ethical duty)

Anyway, please don't get depressed, they're not worth it.

If you're not from #gaza the ongoing pleas for help may discomfort you: you may feel your empathy is being depleted and turned to exhaustion. Keeping your empathy fresh is hard work in the face of our current reality.

But I can easily assure you that our discomfort is insignificant compared to the horrors continuing to happen in the world every day. If you want to be more comfortable, just help stop the baddies 🤷
