John Chrysostom, archbishop of Constantinople, speaks of riches. He says injustice is `inherently tied to great wealth, and asks reader to trace it back to the Garden, where God never instituted anyone wealthier than others.
I won’t allow myself a second of snobbery at Chrysostom’s misunderstanding of economics until I have an hour to share in his indignation at the scandal of poverty.
