  3. I have entered the 3d printer scene unexpectedly. An Ender 3 Pro has been rehomed. Cost was low. The device has a stout list of upgrades.

It’s and older model, sir, but it checks out.

So far I’ve learned to level the bed, remove filament and load filament. Initial prints were adequate but boy do I have lots to learn.

  4. I got my #3DPrinter (#Ender3Pro) working and printed this game Balance from #Thingiverse. Fun for the whole family.

I also tuned the printer with this #Kenji (also from Thingiverse) robot figure. It is "print-in-place" but has joints on legs and feet. if the calibration is off the joints get stuck. So I printed it repeatedly, stopping and restarting when something didn't look right. It ended up almost perfect, could move as I removed it from the printbed.

  5. I got a tumbler as a gift recently and wanted to make a handle and grip to more easily carry it. This is the first step in that process.

    This is an 8 peg #mandrel being #3dprinted on an #ender3pro. The pegs are labeled 2, 3, 4, 6, 2, 6, 4, 3 to act as a guide for tying a 2, 3, 4, or 6 bight #TurksHead #knot. #M4 screws will be used as the pins.

It's ~200mm in height which should allow for as many leads as I'd desire.

  6. @Jeremyinthebluehouse Looks like it's not on right now. I'm pretty sure all ABL devices have a retractable probe that extends when it does its thing. If it didn't, the touch device could pose a possible problem when printing if it was the same level as the nozzle.

#CRTouch in particular will extend 6mm.

Note: I don't have an ABL device for my #Ender3Pro.

  7. If I cancel the print job, all of the plastic lain down so far, about a 5th of the print, will go to waste. If I let it run and lose the one piece, it's far less than that. And I already have gcode for more of that part ready to print later. More important is that it's probably time to "fix" the leveling issue (at least temporarily) with those tough rubber spacers. #3dPrinting, #Ender3Pro, #3dPrinterUpgrades
