He believes strongly in the power of #catalysis and of #greenchemistry and is most famous for asymmetric #hydrogenation used to form single #enantiomers that are needed as precursors for pharma and agro products. It is RYŌYI NOYORI who was awarded the #NobelPrize in chemistry in 2001 together with William S. Knowles and K. Barry Sharpless. His enlightening #autobiography will be published in the Lives in Chemistry series next summer. -
