Through observation, discussion and creative mark-making, the children learned how an animal’s pattern helps it to hide in its environment.

This simple, practical task supports fine motor skills, hand strength, and hand-eye coordination, while also building confidence, independence, and a sense of responsibility. When children feel involved in real-life routines, they learn that their contributions matter.

Floating Flowers! For this activity, simply fill a container with some water, carefully place a folded paper flower onto the surface of the water, with the folded petals facing upwards, then watch as the petals on each flower start to unfold.
