🗣️ Honored and grateful for the invitation from President / Sergeant Yessenia Gomez and the Massachusetts Latino Police Officers Association (MLPO) to present at the Greater Boston Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team meeting this Tuesday, August 11th, at the MIT Police Department!
🎙️I’ll be delivering an interactive session titled "On-Duty Performance, Off-Duty Life: Adaptive Movement & Self-Care for First Responders." We’ll be practicing adaptive bodyweight drills, unilateral movements, and diaphragmatic breathing to improve mobility, posture, and injury prevention—supporting optimal performance on shift, mental health, preventive care, and off-duty quality of life.

👉🏽 If you see someone who looks off, unsteady, confused, or in a position that doesn’t look safe, please pause. Ask if they’re okay. And if you’re unsure or uncomfortable approaching, call 911.
🚑 And if you’re not comfortable approaching, call 911. Let trained responders check on them. Better safe than sorry.
🙏🏽 Homeless or housed, young or old — every person out there is someone’s family. A simple check‑in can save a life in this heat.

Last month I returned to Odesa for my second time volunteering with Coast of Life and brought genuine 🩸CAT 7 tourniquets from the U.S. They were part of a tac med package — and Coast of Life has now confirmed that these supplies are already with the heroes of the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade.

✈️ I am at the airport, on my way home from my 7th humanitarian volunteer trip to Ukraine. Before boarding, I spent time walking the beautiful, historic streets of Warsaw — from the old town to the Ukrainian Embassy, to “Slava Ukraini” written right into the sidewalk.
🙏🏽To everyone I met along the way, to the incredible volunteers on the ground, and to the people of Ukraine: I will miss you all.
✅ My time on the ground is wrapping up — but my advocacy does not end when I step off the plane.
Trip 8 is already in the works. 🇺🇦

Today I took my final #EMT exams known as OSCEs. Its a practical exam where you get eight scenarios with different patients and eight minutes to treat each one.
Absolutely the most stressful exam of my life.
