A tragedy occurred in #NewYorkCity where 4 people perished in a fire sparked by #Lithium batteries from #EMobility devices in a #Manhattan shop. The devices may have been illegal since all #EBikes & #EScooters for sale in the city must meet the UL 2849 standard. The rising #SocialMedia trend hints at the complexity behind the numbers.
