Ich schaue ja regelmäßig in #Emojipedia nach, was dargestellt ist und wofür das genutzt wird, eben weil ich die #Emojis so uneindeutig finde – was durch die unterschiedlichen Darstellungen je nach System noch verschlimmert wird…

@otama I guess it's hard for a browser to promote it, but I guess it will spread soon anyway: First, other browsers will add support.
And major websites likely will adopt it. (some already did, if I am allowed to call #emojipedia a major website.)

Along the way users (you! 😉) can complain to various websites and recommend them to implement that feature, so it get's faster…

@nolan there should be a Web API to trigger the OS's emoji picker.

Or, failing that, a pop-up telling them the keyboard shortcut.

If we're being honest though: often I find it quickest to open a new tab, invoke my #emojipedia search engine, and type which emoji I want. There are too many emoji now for me to be scrolling through & memorizing positions. Plus the positions change every time they add more.
