I’ve been on the #interwebs for forever, it feels, but like much of humanity I became too-online in the 2020s. I’ve dialed back and now I’m re-learning to navigate the internet and find humanity and inspiration.

I’m a former #digitalartist learning to #sew, #embroider, and to overall bridge my digital experience into fabric and fiber goods. My taste is often ugly-beautiful and goofy. I look for lols in all things.

When once I started to #embroider #moss in 3D, I was surprised how much material and work it "eats". #embroidery #textileArts #SciArt #nature #biodiversity #Moos

Ember is currently in a "pit of incoherence" moving to the new Polaris addition. Adopting Embroider in one of my side projects, I noticed that Subresource Integrity support is broken. And that no clear path forward exists. Just published a Webpack plugin to bridge that gap: https://github.com/jelhan/webpack-subresource-integrity-embroider

I hated homework in #needlework at school. Now I have to #embroider my name until our International #Embroidery Festival. Our embroidery club displays a big board with the first names of all members. Almost all of them embroider traditional patterns in cross stitch. I have to be stubborn again and immortalise myself in #moss. The preparations for #stitching #moss. Do you remember how I decided to #embroider #mosses in a 3-D way?

SLOWLY, I advance.
I found out that the secret lies in quite #natural = irregular #stitches and mixing #colours and #yarns. I'm using mainly #FrenchKnots (twined 1-5x), but also free #stitching where I later cut some of the threads open. Some glossy #yarn between imitates humid #moss.
