Talvipäivän seisauksena tuli askarreltua myös tällaisia pakotusfoliokoristeita. Pitää kyllä tehdä lisää, koska näistä tuli tosi kivoja ja menin jo antamaan osan lahjaksi!

Prosessi on helppo: Ensin piirretään paperille muoto, joka halutaan tehdä. Sitten alustalle alimmaiseksi pala huopaa, folioarkki, ja päällimmäiseksi piirros. Jäljennetään kuvion ääriviivat paperista folioon esim. sukkapuikolla painamalla ja leikataan kuvio irti saksilla. Sitten vain jatketaan kuvion työstämistä huopa-alustalla, valitun välineen avulla, molemmilta puolilta, kunnes se näyttää kivalta. Reiän ripustuslenkkiä varten voi tehdä vaikka kynsisaksien kärjellä tai naulalla. 🌟 #embossing #jouluaskartelu

This portfolio belonged to the late Jan Tholenaar, a Dutch bibliophile whose extensive collection of books, type specimens, and ephemera is best known for serving as the inspiration behind Taschen’s Type: A Visual History of Typefaces and Graphic Styles. The Tholenaar collection was Letterform Archive’s first major acquisition nearly ten years ago.

I just discovered a Canadian source for Sizzix-quality embossing and die-cutting machines. Prices for Vevor are half that of Sizzix on amazon.ca, and even less on vevor.ca ... currently with free shipping! (These are heavy suckers).

I have a Sizzix Bigshot and my 6" Vevor compares well for weight, quality, materials. Metal moving parts 👍 for one thing.

As a #blind GM the bane of my existence when preparing for my #TTRPG of choice is figuring out the #map. Does anyone know of any resources out there that would allow me to take a visual map on a #jPG of #PDF and turn it into a #tactileMap or a #textDescription. I would gladly accept something like #altText but in great detail. I am also open to suggestions for alternative methods. I've run into this with quite a number of games. My first test on embossing with a powder! I'm using metal stamps, embossing pen and an iron, but hey, if it works... :blobfoxlaughsweat:

Definitely not perfect though, but I think it's a good first try! Will definitely add less of the embossing ink on the stamps like I did on the first few letters.
